Sneakers and music have been intertwined since the beginning…
More prominent in the early 80s, the ‘Golden Era’ gave birth to a new sound which went hand in hand with distinctive style and fresh sneakers:
from Run DMC to Adidas, Boogie Down Productions to Air Jordan’s, etc.
The tradition still continues on today: from De La Soul to their own Dunk SB’s, Yeezy to Yeezy’s…
No wonder why we’ve got a fix for Kicks and Snare.

KICKS AND SNARE – INFORMATION
Very simply put, it is our intent to present a "Safe Haven" to buy, sell and trade deadstock sneakers.
By taking part in this event, buyers, sellers and traders agree to abide by the following rules and regulations:
SECTION A – BUY/SELL/TRADE
1. Each individual/person is only allowed to bring a MAXIMUM OF 3 PAIRS OF SHOES, with the exception of authorized vendors who are subject to approval. (Vendor information can be found below in Sections B & C)
2. Shoes for buy, sell or trade MUST BE DEADSTOCK: never worn, authentic, in original box; where possible, proof of authenticity is to be provided and/or disclosed; sellers will not provide false information regarding goods.
3. Buy, sell and trade transactions are the responsibility of the parties involved (i.e. buyer, seller, trader).
4. The venue (Augusta House), promoters, dj’s and affiliate partners for this event are not in any way responsible for lost, stolen and/or damaged goods brought to, sold at and/or purchased at this event.
5. The venue (Augusta House), promoters, dj’s and affiliate partners for this event cannot be held liable for wrongful transactions, cannot be contacted for buyer, seller and trader follow-up, cannot be held responsible for incomplete transactions or conditions accompanying any and all transactions
6. The promoters and affiliate partners reserves the right to limit and select sellers for this event
7. Goods for buy, sell and trade MUST BE IN YOUR POSSESSION during this event; no soliciting for sales of other items, services, or internet auctions/ads
8. No unauthorized sales of commercial, wholesale, surplus and questionable goods
9. Illegal sales and fraudulent transactions are prohibited
10. Sellers may not wilfully hinder the sales of others; no negative comments regarding sellers asking prices
11. Buy and sell transactions are to be cash only; the event will not be equipped with debit or credit card devices
12. Attempted theft or bodily harm of any kind will be severely dealt with police enforcement.

SECTION B – VENDORS
1. Vendors must be fully approved and authorized through an application process. Please e-mail
kicksandsnare@rocketmail.com for further information.
2. Vendors are allowed to bring a maximum of 50 pairs of shoes.
3. Vendors are guaranteed a booth, but must provide their own setup
4. Vendors are responsible for enforcing and securing payment or trades of any kind.
5. All of the above rules and regulations stated in ‘Section A – Buy/Sell/Trade’ apply to vendors, with the exception of Section A.1 regarding ‘Maximum’ number of pairs allowed

SECTION C – VENDOR APPLICATION
If you are interested in becoming a Vendor:
1. Please submit an e-mail to kicksandsnare@rocketmail.com with the words ‘Vendor Application’ in the subject line of the e-mail.
2. The body of the e-mail should include a full listing of shoes intended for sell or trade (up to a maximum of 50 pairs).
For example: Make / Model / Colour / Size (Optional)
>1. Nike - Air Max 1 Atmos – Black/Clear Jade-White – Sz. 10
>2. Visvim – Kiefer-Hi – Black – Sz. 9
3. The deadline to submit applications is Monday July 13th, 2009 by 11:00pm.
4. Successful applicants will be contacted no later than Monday July 20th, 2009 regarding vendor/booth information.

FAMILY TREE BUY/SELL/TRADE SUGGESTIONS:
1. Buyers beware. If the deal is too good to be true, it probably is!
2. Exchange contact information to better verify the legitimacy of the transaction
3. Proof of purchase, authenticity and identity helps to avoid product confusion
4. Check for references of the seller. While there still is no guarantee, established sellers/traders will normally have good feedback from satisfied customers
5. Do your research and make sure you know what you are purchasing. Attempt to get all the relevant information such as conditions/usage of the product, other things that are included with the purchase of the primary product or service, and copies of the receipt or warranty cards.
6. Inspect the shoes carefully.
7. Plan how to store, secure, and transport shoes sold, bought, or traded for at this event
8. Sellers: we suggest that you create and print product lists with details and pricing for buyers
9. Receipts or records of transactions are advised but are the mutual responsibility of both buyer and seller.
10. Add integrity, honour, and credibility to our local scene. Have fun and stay for the party!
